Checklist 2 - Suitability for Mediation

A dispute may or may not be suitable for mediation at tat this time. This Checklist identifies criteria for suitability. It also indicates situations that may call for specialized procedural arrangementss.

When answering yes to the below questions, mediation may be:

• suitable, this is because your answer indicates that you and your dispute are ready to negotiate
• suitable with changes, this is because your answer indicates that you or your dispute may be ready to negotiate once the mediator has considered possible procedural changes with you
• not suitable, this is because your answer indicates that you or your dispute is not ready to negotiate.
